Nosound – Lightdark

Not currently in the right mood for this post-progressive ambiental rock sound coming from Italy, but I’m taking a note as I’m pretty sure I’ll be digging it at some point.
Omar Rodriguez Lopez – Old Money

Song titles such as How To Bill The Bilderberg Group and I Like Rockefellers’ First Two Albums, But After That… sure do promise a great blast of prog rock and free jazz? After listening to Omar’s music (At the Drive-In, De Facto, Mars Volta, solo works) for almost ten years now, this album brings yet another taste of familiarly unknown.
The Music – Strength In Numbers

Something I missed when it appeared earlier this year. I used to listen to The Music a lot when at the time of their first album; their reverbed-dance enhanced space blues was something truly refreshing. That style is still present fortunately, and although I wish that maybe there were fewer songs here and the remaining were extended into jams which they’re pretty good at doing (they do me this favour in the hidden No Danger), it’s an awesome album and I urge you to check it out.
This release is a Japanese double CD edition with 7 bonus tracks!
The Mars Volta – Live at the Electric Ballroom
I was looking for a good concert torrent and look what I’ve found! The Mars Volta in the De-Loused era; I’ve never seen them perform so far and for me it was jaw-dropping to see with how much passion they play. A must see.
