But maybe she will…
A friend introduced me to this band. There’s nothing particularly awesome about them in fact, they’re just a very good post-rock band, that can remind you of many others but thinking, hey these guys have some variety. And they did make The Paris Hilton Sex Tape song worth its title.

Sigur Rós – Með suð I eyrum við spilum endalaust

I’ve been listening to Sigur Ros a lot lately, their ice music works well during the long working hours.
I couldn’t find the latest album in any other format then m4a, if anybody knows of an mp3 or flac torrent please tell me.
Nosound – Lightdark

Not currently in the right mood for this post-progressive ambiental rock sound coming from Italy, but I’m taking a note as I’m pretty sure I’ll be digging it at some point.
Oceana – The Tide

Oceana are a very young and interesting post-hardcore band, sounding quite focused and passionate. The sound is hard to classify as it goes between screamo, a few clean melodies, metal riffing and drumming, prog licks and post-rock instrumental atmospherics. Still don’t expect them to be particularly catchy, the music takes a lot to really grasp but I always feel that something in it is holding me to keep listening, even though I’m not a particular fan of music with screaming vocals.
Jaga Jazzist – What We Must

Oh finally I get a chance to check out the ten Scandinavian jazz outcasts Jaga Jazzist. I love it! This is awesome, probably as good as it gets at the moment when you mix jazz with one or two rock people in a band exploring electronic sounds. And it fits the winter time.
This is a FLAC rip of a limited double CD edition in cardboard slipcase with a bonus CD “Spydeberg Sessions”.
Mogwai – The Hawk Is Howling

Today is the first really bad rainy day, so is it a coincidence that I found and downloaded a new album by Mogwai? Scotland’s finest post-rock beasts have spit out another series of waves of brilliant instrumentalism. Just another or… no. It seems that they’ve combined all the dynamics, bass melody, sharp noise and dreadful peace they’re capable of making and made one wonderful album. The feeling I got reminds me of the first times that I’ve heard them. Rock Action and Young Team. The titles are still perfectly appropriate as well: I’m Jim Morrison, I’m Dead, Thank You Space Expert…
